IMI produce high quality canopy covers to protect against dust and water. Canopy cover also protects the canopy against scratches, dust and UV radiation and helps protect cockpit equipment and instruments against overheating and direct sunlight. The canopy covers are now available made from high quality Softshell fabric. Softshell is inside and is very soft and smooth. The woven outer layer material is flexible and weather resistant. Intermediate layer consists of a membrane against dampness.
The cover is attached to the fuselage around the nose and uses four or five straps (two-seat aircraft). Two straps with plastic hooks hook onto trailing edges of the wings, remaining around the low side of the fuselage. The color is an elegant light gray, the cover can be washed in the washing machine (40 ° C).
