KRT2
The KRT 2 is a completely new aviation radio developed to meet the new rules for 8.33kHz-channel spacing in Europe. The new flight radio transmission standard. - the amplitude modulation (AM) - remained unchanged. The entire electronics assembly is digitized. Ensuring the highest frequency stability and channel separation is guaranteed in all operating modes.
The new digital technology is more:
- Economical
- Future proofed functionally through software upgrades
- Energy efficient – particularly for glider and balloon pilots (1.6W standby)
- Extreme small and light weight construction
- Two case types available:
- Standard 56mm with 62hx63w mm
- Slim version 46 x 63w mm
Developed by pilots, the entire interface is extremely intuitive. We know what counts during flight operations and critical situations. Everything has to function precisely!
The KRT 2 has two outputs for headsets and speakers. With the "Dual Watch" you can listen to two frequencies at the same time, which differ in volume and tone. This way you can for example stay on a control Freq while in airspace while still listening to the chat Freq without the need for a handheld.
The active frequency (top) always has priority so prevents confusion.
The KTR 2 offers a database where you can store 100 airport frequencies, displayed in plain text on a sunlight readable graphic display in all display modes.
Via the integrated interface, you can also remote control the KRT 2. In a tandem configuration you will be able to connect a “Remote Terminal” with full functionality of the KRT 2. Another option is to lean back in comfort and fly with the Glass Cockpit FCA / GCA. With the help of an adjustable distance to the control area, the ATIS and the corresponding airdrome frequency will be displayed and also activated at confirmation.
